Hallo,

That means that the OSM Foundation is free to publish the data I
created in an ODbL database, and contributors are free to add the
odbl=clean tag to objects that I created. But I don't want to be
counted in favour of the step away from the wikipedia, linux, etc.
licensing model where every contributor is a licensor. The
Contributor Terms, which I rejected make OSMF the licensor, like in
all the commercial service (Facebook etc.) With CT the OSMF can also
switch to different licenses in the future, instead of leaving the
task of license updates to specialised organizations like
OpenDataCommons or Creative Commons.

If you follow the discussions on the legal-talk@ mailing list, you
also have noticed that the grant of rights only concerns data that you
own. If you upload data from other sources, then it doesn't guarantee
ODbL-compatibility, only the compatibility with the current license,
which is CC-By-SA. That means that legally the acceptance of CT 1.2.4
does not give the OSMF the right to publish data under ODbL. This has
been confirmed by Intellectual Property lawyers and others.

Best regards

kein Rechtsanwalt. Die erwähnte Mailing Liste lese ich nicht.
