Wie von Martin Koppfenhoefer vorgeschlagen, habe ich mir mal das 
Bugtracking zu OSM angesehen und 'nur' nach dem Stickwort 'building' 
gesucht - 430 Treffer. Aber innerhalb der ersten 50 fand sich folgender, 
schon 13 Monate alter Eintrag:

Style of buildings

the definition of buldings will be more and more specificated.

  if the bulding will tag by building=yes the house-border will show but if 
the tag is spezial like building=commercial or building=garages the border 
will not show. the result is a inhomogen map-image.

  my wish: render every building with border - alternative start by level 
15. to difference buildings is very important in cities.
