Die Karte auf dem Android sollte nicht (und darf auch nicht!) von OSM direkt kommen, sondern der Autor der App muss dafür sorgen, dass sie irgendwo unabhängig gehostet wird. Nicht wegen irgendwelcher Lizenzen, sondern weil derjenige, der daran verdient, auch die entstehenden Traffik-Kosten übernehmen soll. Damit ist auch er dafür verantwortlich, eine vernünftige Karte anzubieten. </p>

<p style=" margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:0px; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; -qt-block-indent:0; text-indent:0px; -qt-user-state:0;">Die Daten der alten Karte bleiben im Netz unter der alten Lizenz verfügbar, so dass es kein Problem sein sollte, vorläufig auf dem Stand zu bleiben, bis die Karte unter einer neuen Lizenz wieder den gleichen Stand erreicht hat. Mit etwa 6 Monaten muss man dabei schon rechnen.</p>

Da leidet dann auch der Eifer, unnötige und vermeidbare Schäden zu reparieren. Andererseits ist der Spaßfaktor natürlich um einiges größer, wenn man auf einer leeren Landkarte unterwegs ist und den ersten Strich mit dem GPS zieht.</p>

Der muss sich dann informieren, wo er ggf. die alte Karte weiter bekommen kann.</p>

Wir werden nicht bezahlt dafür und mappen daher da und dann, wo und wann wir Lust haben. Damit können wir es auch entspannt sehen, wenn ein paar "Kunden" abspringen.</p>

Das ist einfach der Spaß-Faktor. Dass sich jetzt auch ernsthafte Dinge damit machen lassen, ist ein netter Nebeneffekt. </p>

Hier spielten (auch) kommerzielle Interessen eine Rolle, und sie konnten sich durchsetzen.</p>
