Hello Nmxosm,

Thank you for your email and suggestions.
We have created a wiki page [1] that you can check for more details about our editing in Frankfurt am Main and Russelsheim am Main, but also you can find information about other projects in Europe [2].

Also, I have updated the github page with the sources I have used: Frankfurt am Main aerial imagery 2017 and Improve OSM.

About the hashtag, we normally use #telenav for all our edits and we do not use #project, but if you have a suggestion for an additional one let us know and we will be happy to use it.

Hello Andreea,

I saw that you started editing. So far it looks good to me. Thank you.

I still have some points from the Organised Editing Guidelines[1] that I ask you to do:

Can you please create a wiki page that describes your edits and link it from Frankfurt's page[2]?

Can you please update the Github issue and also link it from the wiki?
Currently it only contains some template that isn't up to date with the information you seem to use (e.g. the list of aerial imagery).

Can you please use a project specific hashtag for the edits (maybe also in addition to #telenav)?

All the best,
Nmxosm

P.S. As I think that this conversation concerns whoever is interested in it, I am sending this to the Frankfurt mailinglist instead of replying privately.

>> Hello Andreea,
>>
>> thank you for prior notice. I can speak for Frankfurt/Main only, but most of my comments should be transferable to Rüsselsheim as well.
>>
>> It would be nice to have a wiki page per Organised Editing Guidelines [1] - I think that this document is a good (and mandatory!) basis for documentation.
>> Please link the wiki page at the Frankfurt wiki page [2].
>>
>> The city of Frankfurt am Main has an opendata portal [3], which OpenStreetMap is allowed to use (see Frankfurt's wiki page).
>> Especially of interest for you should be the aerial image which has been published up to 2017 (newer imagery available at [4], but not allowed yet).
>>
>> As I am also actively monitoring Frankfurt for changes, I ask you to keep changesets as local as appropriate, in order to simplify quality assurance.
>>
>> Because further comments might only reach frankfurt at lists.openstreemap.de, I suggest that you subscribe this list for the time of your project if you haven't already.
>>
>> With kind regards,

>>> Hi,
>>> I am Andreea and I am part of the mapping team at Telenav.
>>> To make OpenStreetMap more navigable and accurate in guidance, our mapping team is planning to start an editing project in Frankfurt am Main and Russelsheim am Main.
>>> In the next weeks we will focus on editing one ways, turn restrictions, road geometry and also validating the existing map by correcting keep right errors.
>>> We wanted to ask for your help since you've contributed a lot to Germany OpenStreetMap community. Beside the general OSM mapping guidelines https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Attributierung_von_Stra%C3%9Fen_in_Deutschland[https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Attributierung_von_Stra%C3%9Fen_in_Deutschland] , https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Map_Features[https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/DE:Map_Features] do you have any local mapping guidelines for us? We would appreciate any hints regarding available local or governmental data that we might be able to use. Also, do you have any other communication channels we would be able to use and to be in touch with the local community?
>>> Really looking forward to any input and advice!
>>> If you have any questions or comments, please let me/us know.
>>> Thanks!
>>>
>>> Best regards,
>>> Andreea Banciu
